The History of Ideas in Global Contexts: Methods, Themes, Challenges
The seminar aims at promoting the Turin Humanities Program as an international intellectual hub for research, collaborative projects, and conversations on the history of ideas from a global perspective.
In particular, the seminar facilitates debates and knowledge exchange among the THP fellows and the academic community in Turin and beyond.
By taking the fellows’ research as a starting point, the seminar discusses the methodologies and historiographical currents in intellectual history. Moreover, it promotes the development of new approaches, research questions, and practices to study modern Europe and political ideas in a global and transnational context.
The seminar takes place at the Fondazione Einaudi in Palazzo d’Azeglio, Turin.
